Nice Vintage Spanking Photo

Another vintage photo is presented here for your delectation and delight. Knowing absolutely nothing about it I would guess late 1940s or very early 1950s, judging from the clothes. The location could be anywhere, but is most probably the eastern United States, going off the trees. The guy also looks like an industrial worker to me, but that's just speculation. I like the smirk on his face as he poses for the camera, and the look of endurance on hers as she awaits the next smack.

All in all a nice little snippet of a bygone age.

Holy Super Continuity Error!

Holy jeepers, as they used to say in Superman comics, with thanks to Colin in the comment box to my last posting, we have found a continuity error in a Superman cartoon. In the first panel Lois Lane is over the left knee and in the second she has mysteriously moved to be sprawled across his right. Maybe the artist had been at the Kyrptonite before he drew the scenes?

The funny thing about this is that I remember the sequence from the 1960s when it first appeared and I have seen the two panels many times since then, but I have only just realised that the drawings are out of joint.

Superman, Joe Shuster and BDSM

Superman comics were always good for the odd spanking now and then, but did you know that Joe Shuster, the Man of Steel's co-creator was also into la cosa nostra? I am presenting a few of his kinkier drawings to illustrate this posting, and you can see more at this link. In the early 1950s Shuster did the drawings for all  sixteen editions of Nights of Horror, a magazine that was eventually banned in the USA.

Should we be surprised by this? Probably not, as there is something incredibly kinky, anyway, about Superman with his cape, skin tight costume and seriously well fitting shorts. All he needed was a whip.  

Spanked over a car's fender

Another vintage photo is here presented for your delectation and delight. Let's have a look at it and see what we can see...

The photo seems to be from 1930s America, and unless I am very much mistaken the car is a Ford V8, as loved by Clyde Barrow who always made of point of stealing them. Is the spanking authentic? That we shall never know, but it does look as if at least one smack cracked across the girl's bottom, if only because of the way in which her skirt is ruffled from the man's hand. The photograph is watermarked with the name of what is probably an agency, but I have been unable to track them down.

Other than that the photo is a mystery: does anyone know anything about it?

Post-War American Outdoor Spanking

Obviously a staged photo, but rather a nice one for all that. Judging from the clothes I would say the United States in the early 1950s, but apart form that I know nothing about the photo. I quite like the slight smirk on the man's face and the rather nervous smile that the girl has.

Vintage OTK

Here's another one of those weird photos that turn up on the web from time to time. From the hairstyles and the clothing I would say it was taken in the 1930s. Obviously a flash was used hence the blurred hand and face - shutter speeds were slow when a flash light was used in those days.

The way they did it in the 1960s

I can't remember where I first saw this photo, but I do remember thinking that in its own charming way it summed up the world of early 1960s classic British spanking. Two girls in someone's tacky bedsit, each trying to avoid showing her face, but with a cameraman who managed to capture something rather sweet, using the mirror as he did to compose rather a nice image.

By the way, on the subject of classic British spanking, a new magazine called Moonglow is now available on-line. It has lots of new features, but it also contains the very first issue of Blushes magazine from the very early 1980s as well as Sally's First Lesson, that classic spanking video that we still talk about.

Van Heusen shirts: made to spank in!

I used to wear Van Heusen shirts back in the day, but I don't remember this advert for them which seems to date from the early 1960s.

The nice thing about all these old adverts which featured a spanking is just how normal the event was. People who saw this poster almost fifty years ago did not think that the man was doing anything out of the ordinary. If anything it made them want to buy the shirts because they fancied being daring, audacious and bolder themselves.

Advertising the old fashioned way

 

Rather an amusing American advert from the late 1930s. What interests me about it is the matter of fact way in which a wife is being disciplined by her husband. This is an advert for flour, but there is no suggestion that the audience of the day didn't understand the message which is that wives are under their husbands' authority.

Wife spanking advertisement

I came across this old advert from the 1950s the other day and thought it would amuse you. American magazines from the period were usually full of adverts offering all sorts of weird and wonderful things, usually correspondence courses, but sometimes gems like this. Quite what the reader got for his 15c is hard to say. Given the period it was most likely a duplicated pamphlet, but what it contained is anyone's guess.

Real Life Spankings: smoke 'em and smack 'em

Welcome to Real Life Spankings, a new feature that will look at genuine cases where long-suffering males have been forced to put recalcitrant females across their knees to wallop the waywardness out of them.

The above photograph appears to be genuine and shows a couple from the late 1940s or very early 1950s, judging from their clothing. Staged photos of the time look, well, staged to the modern eye, but this one has clearly been taken with a flash and a very slow shutter speed - probably 1/30th second, which was the normal speed in those days. Thus the girl's face and the man's elbow are both blurred, which suggests some pretty fierce movements were going on.

The girl has her eyes closed and her mouth looks as if it is open to protest. Given the man's hand has obviously just smacked down across her upturned rump and has creased her skirt doing it, that is understandable. The girl's discomfort is made all the worse by the fact that at least two other people were witnessing her spanking. There is a man almost out of shot to the left of the photo and the cameraman himself.

All in all a nice period shot from a time long ago when naughty little girls knew what was likely to happen to them when they failed to toe the line.
