Everyone's favourite uncle was out of the country when Sugar Rush was transmitted in 2006. The spanking scene featured in the first episode of the second series, and is rather good in its sensual way.
The interesting thing about this is that it features a lesbian spanking, with a woman of about 30 disciplining a 17 year old girl. Would such a scene be allowed if the disciplinarian had been a man? The answer is obviously no, because in the Britain of today kinkiness seems to come in two categories - that which is acceptable to the ideologically pure at heart and that which is not.

Those who are ideological pure at heart, should then have objected to the scene, regardless whether the disciplinarian was male or female. The spanking was the result of a lie within a sexual relationship.
If it is then not acceptable to have the scene set between an older male and young female, there is no logical reason that changes the dynamics by replacing the male with an older female.
It is unfortunate that it appears that most people are able to twist and adjust their ideological beliefs in order to accomodate and blur the lines, when it suits or benefits them.
And sadly various different examples can be found in the world today, with the same skewed application of ideologies.
